A big shout out to our featured angler of the week - Max Young - with his FIRST slot Snook!  Max tells us he's fairly new to fishing salt, but is absolutely hooked.  This Snook was caught at Sebastian Inlet near the South Ranger Station entrance using free-lined Majara.  We love to hear that your hooked on fishing the inlet...fish on!

At 12:01 a.m., Snook season officially reopens in Atlantic waters and a lot of anglers have been counting down…  Always remember to follow Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission rules and regs. Anglers tell us there have been a lot of Spanish Mackerel out there, mainly around the jetties.  Use your little spoons, jigs and Gotcha lures to target them. 

Tommy at Sebastian Inlet Bait & Tackle tells the fishing has really picked up.  Mangrove Snapper are running throughout the inlet and in the backwaters hitting on their favorite bait, live shrimp.  You have your choice of fishing spots at the Park to target these guys from land.

From what we hear, while there has been some action at the inlet this past week, fishing hasn’t been spectacular.  Partially because of the weather, and it looks like your best bet weather-wise this week are on Thursday and Friday.

Check out this massive bull Red and our featured angler of the week – Margaret Walls.  She tells us that Reds were hitting on floating crab on the outgoing tide in the channel West of the bridge and around the T-dock area.  Looks like you had a great day out on the water, Margaret!  Thanks for submitting your photo.

As you head back out to Sebastian Inlet State Park to enjoy world-class fishing, we hear there has been decent action on the North Jetty.  Tommy from Sebastian Inlet Bait & Tackle tells us anglers are bringing Snook, Redfish, Bluefish and Pompano over the rails.

Yesterday was a beautiful day to fish the inlet and Tommy at Sebastian Inlet Bait & Tackle tell us the Spanish Mackerel and Bluefish were running.  There’s been a lot of good action at the inlet lately and anglers are reporting catches of Snook, Redfish, Sheepshead, Black Drum and even a few Flounder this past week.

Just got the report from Sarah at Sebastian Inlet Bait & Tackle.  There’s been lots of Snook on outgoing tide hitting shrimp, baitfish and your top water lures.  We are still getting reports of massive Redfish being caught on the outgoing tide too.  Use crab, shrimp, clams and sandfleas. 

With the glorious weather this past weekend, anglers have been out on the North Jetty reporting all kinds of action and Tommy at Sebastian Inlet Bait & Tackle said things have been hopping!

The weather this week is expected to be gorgeous and the bite is good on the North Jetty with anglers bringing in Pompano, Sheepshead and Black Drum.  Definitely time to get out there and drop a line.  Use small shrimp, sand fleas and clams as your best bait.  Spanish Mackerel are here and Bluefish are just beginning to show up.  Use your Gotcha lures, spoons and bucktails to reel them in.

Just back from a trip to the inlet and the fishing is hot everywhere!  Finally a break in the weather and rough surf is giving anglers a chance to drop a line from the North and South jetties and we saw a lot of anglers out there this morning doing just that.

Fishing at the inlet has been pretty good and we have been getting reports of a lot of offshore action lately.  At the inlet, the Mangrove Snapper have been running!  Live or frozen shrimp or little greenies will help you bring them in.  FWC Rules & Regulations require Mangrove Snapper to be 10 inches or bigger to keep, and each anglers limit is 5 per day.  Tommy at Sebastian Inlet Bait & Tackle…
