Week of October 14: Go drop a line-Snook, Reds, Black Drum, Spanish Mackerel and Jacks at the Inlet

Man holding snook on North Jetty

Our friend Tommy at Sebastian Inlet Bait and Tackle tells us the fishing has been pretty good.  Winds and seas have calmed down a bit since last week so anglers are finding it easier to fish from the jetties.  The finger mullet have been running so there’s ample bait and the shrimp look good too.  Anglers have been bringing in Snook, Reds, Spanish Mackerel, Jacks and some Black Drum off the North and South jetties.  Pompano has started to show up too, and anglers have reported catching a few Flounder here and there.   Tommy tells us the night fishing for Snook has been great all throughout the inlet, anglers targeting them with flare jigs and shallow diving plug.

WEBCAM ALERT – For everyone that watches our webcam, please be advised that Erdman Video Systems is working on upgrading backend software for the new pan and tilt motor that was installed.  While the webcam is up and running, some weather data, images and video will be affected.  Thanks for your patience as we get it back up!  We know how important it is to a lot of you so we are working as quickly as possible.
