Week of June 1:  Fishing Improves

Tommy at the Sebastian Inlet Bait Shop reports a turnaround in the catch. Big jacks, big reds in the channel caught on top water lures and snook all were reeled in the last few days. Remember Snook season has closed, check with FWC for current rules and regulations here https://myfwc.com/fishing/saltwater/recreational/

Today’s weather supports the bite with sunny to partly cloudy skies, a stray PM shower or thunderstorm is possible. High 82F. Winds ENE at 10 to 15 mph. Seas 2 to 3 feet with a dominant period 8 seconds. A light chop on the intracoastal waters.

Our angler of the week is Matthew Pollack. His Mother’s Day fishing trip resulted in this nice gag grouper…released unharmed!

Send us your pics!  We need photos and stories to include in upcoming fishing reports.  If you want to be featured with your catch, send in a picture and the details of your fishing trip to the inlet by using the Contact Form on our website.  Pictures work best vertical and if you center the person with their catch, leaving room on the sides. We try to publish all the ones we receive.
