The forecast today calls for clear and sunny skies with about 10 miles of visibility. The high will be around 76, with winds out of the NE at 5 to 10 knots. The marine forecast calls for 2- to 3-foot seas and a light chop on the intracoastal.
Tommy from the Sebastian Inlet Bait & Tackle shop reports a lot of snook today and some smaller fish such as margate, caught in pleasant conditions. He’s also seeing baitfish such as greenfish and threadfins caught on Sabiki rigs. Over the weekend, despite rough and windy weather, the fishing was fair, with more of those snook, bluefish, black drum, sheepshead, redfish, and jacks. Tommy also saw some pompano come over the rails on Sunday. The weekend was capped off with a huge group of hundreds of cownose stingrays swimming through the inlet, snagging lines everywhere.
