The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT)  $111.7 million bridge project  has begun. FDOT officials have began mobilizing equipment needed to demolish the existing 1960s-era structure to make way for the new bridge, which is scheduled for completion by 2031.

Project information can be viewed on the project website:.HERE

The image shows two bridge sections over water with height measurements: 51 feet (proposed) and 39 feet (existing), along with distance markings.
The proposed bridge would be 12 feet taller than the existing bridge. Photo courtesy of FDOT.
