The north and south jetties at Sebastian Inlet have reopened to the public following a biennial inspection conducted earlier this week.
Thank you for your patience and understanding during the closure. The jetties provide critical infrastructure for safe navigation within the Sebastian Inlet and are exposed to the harsh conditions of salt spray, sunshine and relentless pounding waves. Structural assessments of both the north and south jetties are conducted every 24 months to assess existing conditions and determine maintenance where appropriate. The most recent structural assessments were completed in 2019,
Please do your part to keep the jetties clean. During this closure, our partners at Sebastian Inlet State Park used the close as an opportunity to clean the jetty. Please refer to our "fishing ettiquete" page for more information. Stay classy, my friends!
