Lisa Leger Frazier was elected as a Commissioner for the Sebastian Inlet District, Seat 5, Brevard County, in November of 2018 and re-elected in 2022.

Lisa holds a Master of Science in Environmental Planning from Florida Institute of Technology in Melbourne and a Bachelor of Science degree from Central Michigan University.  She is a certified land planner/project manager with over 35 years of leadership experience in the public and private sectors including construction management, land planning and development, environmental permitting, and local government administration. She is the acting Principal in Frazier Consulting Services LLC.  

As a resident of Brevard County for 37 years, Lisa is dedicated to representing the interests of both Brevard and Indian River County. As a Commissioner for the Sebastian Inlet District,  she has leveraged her technical and professional expertise to help safeguard and maintain the inlet waterway for public use and ecological preservation.

Lisa’s professional credentials include certifications from the American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP), Project Management Institute (PMI) and past membership on Planning Commissions in Michigan and Florida.  She is a member of the Atlantic Coast Section of the American Planning Association.  From 1994 to 2000, she was an elected member of the Indialantic Town Council and served as Deputy Mayor from 1998 to 2000.

The District continuously strives to improve communication and stewardship with our partners for the economic sustainability of the Inlet and surrounding public lands. During her eight-year tenure as a Commissioner with the Sebastian Inlet District, many significant projects have been accomplished or are in progress including: 

Armoring of the channel shoreline,

North and South Jetty Improvements,

Sand dredge and bypass projects,

Inlet Management Plan updates,

DMMA Management Plan, and

Continuous environmental monitoring of sea grass, hard bottom and sea turtles.
