Jenny Lawton Seal, Commission Chair

Jenny Lawton Seal was first elected in 2004 and is currently serving in her fifth term as Commissioner for the Sebastian Inlet District, Seat 1, Brevard County. She currently serves as Chairman of the Commission, a position she first assumed in 2013 and in tandem with Commissioner Mitchell, holds the distinction of the longest-serving women to ever hold office as a Commissioner for the District.
Jenny has been visiting the Space Coast since her birth, and moved to Brevard County in 1982 at the age of six with her mother, Ann and sister, Katie. She is a second-generation Sebastian Inlet District Commissioner, following in the footsteps of her grandfather, Tom Lawton, who was a Sebastian Inlet Commissioner for 16 years. It was her grandfather that instilled in her a great love and respect for all of Florida’s waterways.
Jenny holds a Bachelor of Science degree in business from the University of Central Florida and has worked as a Certified Registered Paralegal for the Law Firm of James M. Nicholas, PA in Satellite Beach since 2004. She and her husband, Jason Seal, live in Grant, Florida with their dogs Agatha and Lacy.
