Important Notice for Boaters: Sand Trap and Channel Dredging Project

The 2018-19 Sebastian Inlet maintenance dredging and beach restoration project is currently underway.  Dredge equipment including submerged pipelines are present within the inlet and channel, so please navigate with care.

Dredging will take place inside Sebastian Inlet with the dredge positioned over the sand trap area that is approximately 3000′ west of the inlet.  Dredging will also take place inside the navigation channel to the east that connects with the Intracoastal Waterway, starting approximately 3000′ west of the inlet and extending 8000′ west of the inlet.

Completion Date: May 15, 2019

Operational Hours: 24 hours/day and seven days a week
