A phalanx of volunteers descended on  Sebastian Inlet State Park on September 19 and removed approximately 275 pounds of trash from the north shore as part of the International Coastal Cleanup event. 

Thanks to scores of Walmart employees representing 10 stores throughout Brevard and Indian River counties, more than 60 people turned out to help remove discarded cigarette butts, plastic, aluminum can, bottles and more from the shoreline within two hours.  Also, thanks to our partners at Coastal Connections, Inc., Sebastian Inlet State Park and all of the volunteers who made this one of the most successful clean-up events ever at this site.
