January public workshops focus on Inlet bridge replacement

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) has scheduled two public workshops as part of its Project Development and Environment (PD&E) Study focusing on the planned replacement of the Sebastian Inlet Bridge.

The Alternatives Public Workshop will be held virtually on Tuesday, January 11, 2022, at 6:00 pm and in-person on Thursday, January 13, 2022, from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm. These meetings are being conducted to give interested persons an opportunity to learn about the study alternatives and to express their views concerning the alternatives. Questions and comments may be submitted prior to the meeting through the registration link, project website, or by contacting the FDOT Project Manager. Documents that will be shown at the meeting will be available on the project website on January 4, 2022.

There are several options to participate during the meeting:

·       -  Virtually on Tuesday, January 11, 2022, at 6:00 pm via computer, tablet, or mobile device. If you are using a mobile device, the free “GoToMeeting” App is required to attend. Please allow adequate time to log-in to the meeting.

The PD&E Study is FDOT’s process to evaluate the social, economic, and environmental impacts associated with a planned transportation improvement project. The purpose of this project is to address the structural and functional deficiencies of the existing bridge and the gap in system linkage for bicyclists and pedestrians.
