SEBASTIAN INLET DISTRICT
2024/2025 DREDGING AND BEACH PLACEMENT PROJECT
The Sebastian Inlet District (OWNER) is seeking competitive bids for the excavation of approximately 215,000 cubic yards (CY) of material from the sand trap and channel located within the Sebastian Inlet. The material will be placed within the approved beach fill template along the beaches within northern Indian River County and within the Owners Dredge Material Management Area (DMMA). A bid alternate for an additional 108,000 tons of sand from an upland source shall also be placed within the lines and grades of the beach fill template. The project includes a second bid alternate for dredging of an additional 9,600 CY of material from the channel limits to be placed within the Owners DMMA. The project will be awarded based on the lowest responsive total base bid amount. In the event the OWNER elects to remove pay sections from the project to meet project budget limitations, the total bid amount will be adjusted and the project will be awarded based on the lowest adjusted total responsive bid amount. The adjusted total bid amount will be the sum of the Base Bid – Lump Sum Fixed Costs and the Measured Quantity Costs for all included Pay Sections.

All questions about the meaning or intent of the Contract Documents must be submitted to the OWNER (Sebastian Inlet District) in writing by 2:00 P.M. September 18, 2024 to be considered.
Sealed bids must be received by the OWNER at 2:00 P.M. Friday, October 4, 2024. All bids either mailed or hand delivered must be received by the Sebastian Inlet District at 114 Sixth Avenue, Indialantic, FL 32903 where they will be opened publicly and read aloud. All bids received after 2:00 P.M. of the day specified above will be returned unopened and considered unresponsive. No electronic submittals will be accepted.
Pre-Bid Meeting
Please be aware that the OWNER will hold a mandatory PRE-BID MEETING, located at the Sebastian Inlet State Park Fishing Museum - (south park entrance, immediately west of the ranger station), on Thursday, September 5, 2024 at 10 a.m., which will be open for all interested parties to attend. The OWNER and ENGINEER will be onsite to answer questions and explain the intent of the Bid Documents.
