Chilly morning at the Inlet today with a few anglers out on the North Jetty. Inshore bite has been good with Redfish, Snook, and Trout. Try for Jacks at incoming and outgoing tide, live bait has been producing the best results. Try the South Jetty for Bluefish, Spanish Mackerel, Ladyfish and Jacks, casting spoons and got-cha lures. Go see Tommy and Sarah at Sebastian Bait & Tackle, they’ll get you set up, and check out our webcam for current temperature, pressure, winds and tide schedule!
Predominant NE and East winds through mid-week, turning South/SE later in the week, up to 15 knots, according to NOAA’s marine forecast. Low temps in the 60s and 70s, and high temps in the low to mid-80s all week.
Thank you to our angler of the week Augustine Chan for sending in this pic. Caught this Snook off the South Jetty recently throwing a X-Rap on 10lb. braid for Bluefish and Mackerel. “The Snook hit my lure and immediately starting pulling drag and heading toward the rocks at the tip of the jetty. In order to keep the Snook from cutting me off at the rocks, I had to hop on 7 to 8 rocks in order to get the end of the jetty and bring in the fish.”
