Week of June 16: Offshore action seems to be where it’s at…

Reports have been coming in mainly from offshore where anglers seem to be picking up Mahi, Sea Bass, African Pompanos around the reefs and Mutton Snapper in 70-100 feet.  Some action to be had at the North Jetty and around the inlet with some Spanish Mackerel, Blue Runners and even a few Bonita.  Go see Tommy and Sara at Sebastian Inlet Bait & Tackle for the latest.

Remember Snook season is closed until September 1, so all Snook are catch and release.  Using appropriate catch and release techniques ensure future survival of the species.  For all current FWC rules and regulations, check here.  And, please help us reduce litter and please dispose of your fishing line in the appropriate receptacles provided by the State Park!

A special thanks to our angler of the week – William Russell.  These guys had an awesome day on Saturday, June 1.  They landed a 39’ Mahi, a 36’ Sea Bass, a 21’ catch and release Snapper and a Shark.  “We couldn’t have asked for a better day!”  That’s one thing we can promise when you head out for Sebastian Inlet!

Send us your pics!  We need photos and stories to include in upcoming fishing reports.  If you want to be featured with your catch, send in a picture and the details of your fishing trip to the inlet by using the Contact Form on our website.  Pictures work best horizontal and if you center the person with their catch, leaving room on the sides. We try to publish every one we receive.
