Monday: Slow bite due to cold water upwelling

We are working on our new web site to make it more user friendly and mobile accessible.  Please be patient, we’re learning.  There is a pull down menu (three white bars) on the top right corner of mobile devices that will take you to various pages on the web site.

We have a beautiful morning at the Sebastian Inlet.  Winds are blowing out of the South-Southwest at 4 mph, gusting to 5 and the water has a light chop.  We have good boating conditions forecasted for the coming week!

Tommy Turowski at the Sebastian Inlet Bait and Tackle Shop reported the bite shut down over the weekend.  A change in wind direction coupled with a cold water upwelling is the suspected culprit.  Hopefully, we will get some news from our inlet anglers on what they are catching.

Our angler of the day is 16 year old Juliette DiNatale of Melbourne.  Amanda was fishing with her family on the north beach close the jetty when she landed this small Bull Shark on live shrimp.  The shark was released right after the photo.  Nice catch Juliette!

Send in your photos and fishing updates!
