08-22-17 TUESDAY: MANGROVE SNAPPER, LOOKDOWNS, JACKS AND C/R SNOOK

Please send your fishing photos, updates and inquiries to nmaxwell@sitd.us. Our new web site is under construction. We are hoping to bring you a more modern, updated, mobile ready site.

Winds are blowing out of the Northeast at 12 mph, gusting to 16 and there is a moderate chop on the water. There are no NOAA advisories but we have a chance of showers and a slight chance of thunderstorms this afternoon.

We received an update from Luke Vila of Kissimmee who fished the north shoreline last Wednesday with his friend Brian. The men fished in the early morning hours and reported Snapper roaming heavily along the mangroves. Luke also landed the Lookdown in our first photo. Nice catch Luke.

Luke sent in photo two of Brian fishing at sunrise. Great photo Luke!

We received some exciting news from Jason Thatcher. Jason reported that the fall mullet run is starting to happen in Vero Beach! He thought our readers would like to see a YouTube video of the action. Copy and paste this link in your browser https://youtu.be/AVZdpnfv2fo or type Mullet Run 2017 First Sighting Vero Beach into YouTube. Thanks Jason!
